One Day Workshop of BBA Syllabus Implementation NEP 2020

On 27-11-2024 Respected Principal Dr. Ganesh Patare (Member of BOS, SPPU) conducted a session on Finance as a Resource Person in ' *One Day Workshop of BBA Syllabus Implementation NEP 2020'* organised by Kaveri College of Arts Science & Commerce, Pune .

The session was very informative and helpful for all BBA faculties present in the workshop.

On 18 Oct 2024, Prof. Dashrath Gavit was invited as an expert to discuss 'Youth Health: Healthy Lifestyle, Drug and Substance Abuse' with the students of Garware College of Commerce, Pune.

 A book titled "Reinventing indian educationin in the Digital age" is now available on Amazon. It has a chapter written by Dr. Swapna Kolhatkar.


Two-day workshop on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) at SPPU

  Prof. Gavit Dasharath successfully attended a two-day workshop on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) at SPPU, organized by the History Department. The workshop covered the syllabus, teaching methods, question paper patterns, and evaluation. For the first year, the syllabus includes a generic IKS course, while the second and third years focus on subject-specific IKS. Expert speakers provided valuable insights on various aspects of IKS.

“AI in Education: Role of a Teacher" by IBS-ICFAI Business School

On 13th August 2024, IBS-ICFAI Business School had organised a faculty knowledge sharing program on the theme “AI in Education: Role of a Teacher.” Dr. Ganesh Patare, Asst. Prof. Meenal Kabra, Asst. Prof. Rekha Khatarmal, Asst. Prof. Omprakash Ajabe and Asst. Prof. Reshma Awati were among the faculties of MMCC who attended the FDP. 

The workshop proved to be a learning experience as it was quite informative and engaging. It surely explored how Al technologies can be integrated into educational practices to prepare students for industry demands. It also focused on the evolving role of teachers in an Al-enhanced environment, emphasizing how educators can utilize Al to provide personalized support, facilitate skill development, and create impactful learning experiences aligned with industry needs.

Counselors Training Course organized by the Indian Red Cross Society

Prof. Dasharath Gavit has successfully completed the Counselors Training Course organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, held at Ness Sadia College of Commerce, Pune, on Saturday, August 3, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Prabhakar Desai, Dean of Interdisciplinary Study at SPPU, Dr. Sadanand Bhosale, Director of NSS at SPPU, and Dr. Abhishek Kulkarni, Director of Student Development Programs at SPPU.

The training consisted of three key sessions: the first focused on school safety programs, the second emphasized the importance of first aid training and disaster management, and the third covered the roles and responsibilities of counselors along with a group discussion and timeline activity. Participants were engaged in comprehensive discussions and training on essential skills such as first aid, CPR, life-saving techniques, disaster management, carrying techniques, hygiene and sanitation, fire prevention and extinguishing, and evacuation procedures.

Orientation and sensitization session on NEP 2020.

Principal Dr Devidas Golhar 

Member NEP Taskforce
Government of Maharashtra 
conducted an orientation and sensitization session on NEP  2020.
Today on 7th June at MMCC. 
Students, teachers and parents attended the session  . 
Dr Golhar enlightened the stakeholders, explaining the importance, need and the scope of NEP 2020 including it's structural changes. 
It was a wonderful and interactive session with active participation of the students.

Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce has been celebrating the *Samata Saptah* under *Equal Opportunity Cell*  between 11 April to 14 April 2024 to  commemorate the life and times of our great leaders *Mahatma Jyotirao Phule & Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on their birth anniversaries* as per the guidelines received from Directorate of Higher Education and Directorate of Social Justice and Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra. Everyone, students & staff members are requested to join the events happening in consonant with this.

In this context, the college has been organising the events to pay our respects to great personalities by remembering their struggles to emancipate the downtrodden classes, women, peasants, and workers from age old evil social practices and stigmas to achieve the liberty, equality, and justice for all assuring the sense of integrity and fraternity among the citizens of republic. The college believes in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's vision that true democracy cannot be achieve only with political liberty but it will be realised through attaining social and economic freedom to the masses. We are displaying brief description about the life and times of these leaders on digital display, organising the ceremonies to pay tributes, and essay competition in due course of time.
