Voter Awareness Rally

 As part of the Voter Awareness Program for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly General Elections 2024, the NSS department of our college organized a Voter Awareness Rally on Tuesday, 19/11/2024 at 11:00 am. From our colleges campus to Good Luck.  During this rally, NSS students raised slogans to promote voter awareness and displayed voter awareness placards at the Good Luck Signal, along with impactful announcements to encourage public participation in voting.






Walk for Samvidhan

 On the occasion of 26th November, Constitution Day, NSS volunteers actively participated in a rally themed "Walk for Samvidhan." The rally was inaugurated by Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Divisional Commissioner. It commenced from Bhidewada and concluded at Pune Station, with participation from various colleges and schools.


We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our principal, Dr. Ganesh Patare, for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of this significant event.

A big thank you to all the NSS volunteers for their enthusiastic participation and efforts.







स्वच्छ भारत दिवस

 On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, we are celebrating "स्वच्छ भारत दिवस." As part of this, the "स्वच्छता ही सेवा" campaign is being implemented all over India from September 17 to October 1, 2024. To join this campaign, we successfully organized a "College Campus Cleaning Drive" today, where 32 NSS students participated enthusiastically and contributed their efforts.








Special Gram Sabha

 On the occasion of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, we visited the village *Ambee* in Pansheth as part of the *Unnat Bharat Abhiyan*. During this visit, we attended a *Special Gram Sabha* organized by the grampanchayat. Ten students voluntarily participated in the event, contributing to discussions and activities aimed at community development.

Report on Blood Donation Camp at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce

Venue: Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce (MMCC)

The blood donation camp held at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce was a resounding success, with 95 donors participating in the noble cause. The camp was organized by the MMCC NSS in collaboration with MMCOA, MMSCLC, and Jankalyan Raktapedhi. This blood donation camp was organized in memory of the death anniversary of the Honourable Late Shri. Vilasraoji Deshmukh Saheb, adding a special significance to the event.
The event commenced at 9:30 AM and continued until 2:30 PM, providing ample time for students, faculty, and other participants to contribute.

The Honourable Ex-President Principal Bhausaheb Jadhav Sir inaugurated the blood donation camp and paid tribute to Honourable Late Shri. Vilasraoji Deshmukh Saheb. The inauguration ceremony was a highlight, with Honourable Ex-President Principal Bhausaheb Jadhav Sir delivering an inspiring speech on the importance of blood donation. The presence of esteemed dignitaries, Principal Dr. Devidas Golhar, Principal Dr. Kranti Deshmukh, and Principal Dr. Aniruddha Joglekar, added to the event's significance. Their support and encouragement were greatly appreciated by the volunteers and participants.

The coordinators, Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade and Dashrath Gavit Sir ensured the smooth functioning of the camp, guiding the donors and managing the logistics efficiently. 

Overall, the blood donation camp was a testament to the spirit of community service and the willingness of individuals to contribute to a life-saving cause. The organizers extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and dignitaries who made this event a grand success.

Health Check-up Camp for Varkaris

Date: 1 July 2024


Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce in collaboration with Smt. Kausalya Karad Rural Hospital and Late Vaibhav Phalnikar Memorial Foundation organized health check camp for Varkaris in context of welcoming the Dindi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj in historical city of Pune.

We consider ourselves fortunate that we could able to serve the Varkaris by providing them all necessities for their one day stay at Geet Govinda Society, Maharshi Nagar, Gultekdi, Pune and arranging the free health checkup for them.

On occasion Honourable Executive President Principal B. G. Jadhav sir expressed his empathetic feelings towards the age old Varkaris tradition and their infallible commitment to walk through all odds to Pandharpur every year without miss, the tradition has been continued since four centuries. The other Degnitaries attended the event included MMM's Secretary Kishore Mungale sir, Vijay Phalanikar Sir, Madhukar Gholave Maharaj, Principal Dr. Devidas Golhar sir and Kiran Mande sir.

We felt like contended by serving the pilgrimage and successfully conducted the health checkup for 400+ Varkaris by treating them for general health issues, dental and eye check up, and other conditions. We have also distributed the free spectacles to 200 Varkaris on the occasion. 

22 NSS volunteers provided the necessary aid and service while conducting the drive on two different locations (Maharshi Nagar and Police Lanes, Swargate) which extended for almost 12 hours. Our faculties, Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade sir and Prof. Dashrath Gavit Sir coordinated the event for its successful completion. 







Anemia Free College Initiative: Batch No. 2

The MMCC college organised anemia testing camp (second batch) for the students in collaboration with Apla Ghar Foundation, Warje, Pune. 72 students and staff members have undergone anemia testing which took place in hall no. 1, Commerce Department as part of Anaemia Free College Initiative.

    On 26 June 2024, MMCC staff paid tribute to Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj on his birth anniversary. On occasion Prof. S.M. Edke sir, HOD, Department of Commerce gave a brief introduction about the life work of Legendary leader.

Mass Tree Plantation Drive

 Date: 23 June 2024


MMCC NSS unit participated in Tree Plantation Event organized by IMERT, Karve Nagar in collaboration with Lunkad Reality Pvt. Ltd. &  G.B. Chaudhary Developers. The event took place at Project Sahyadri Hills, situated at the foothills of Dhavalgad fort near Ambale Gaon, Tensil-Purandar, Dist. Pune, approximately 50 km from Pune City.

A total of 600 trees were planted on barren waste land topography.
32 NSS volunteers and 7 faculties from MMCC worked alongside IMERT, MMIT, and project co-workers to accomplish this task.

Dignitaries present during the occasion included Dr. Shubhangee Ramaswamy (IMERT Director I/C), the Managing Director of Lunkad Reality, and the CEO of G.B. Chaudhary Developers. 

The MMCC faculties, including Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade, Prof. Dashrath Gavit, Prof. Snehal Borkar, Prof. Komal Galande, Prof. Vaishali Suryavanshi, and  Prof. Roopali Dhavale involved themselves in coordination and tree plantation drive with volunteers.
