The day commenced with an ecstatic morning charged with a positive spirit and full lively temper. As Sun ascended to horizon; it brought around the first glimpse of sun lights striking onto darkness making it disappear unknowingly. When those first rays descended upon the MMCC campus, it heralded the arrival of 'Vansant or Spring Season' so new leaves begin to come up on trees making the light green shades over them. It is शालिवाहन शक १९४५ & शिव शक ३५०, the occasion was celebration of 394th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire.
Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce was performing a sacrament / solemn ceremony publicly to honour the Maratha leader for his indomitable courage, audacity, and triumphs who established the swaraj or people's state for the well-being of common masses.
We remember him for his legacy of ending the era of medieval feudalism in the region and for bringing the administration which was based on modern principles of social justice, tolerance, secularism, and upliftment of downtrodden.
On Occasion, the campus was filled with colours of joy and energy as more than 200+ students joined the event in traditional attire embellished with ornaments and turbans.
