 🌊♻️ Taking Action for a Cleaner Tomorrow

The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC), MMCC, in collaboration with Worship Earth Foundation, Shipco Company, and other NGOs, conducted a river cleaning drive at S. M. Joshi Bridge, Pune, encouraging environmental responsibility and community engagement.

Along with the cleaning activity, students delivered an impactful street play on river conservation and environmental awareness, effectively connecting with the public and spreading an important message through creativity and action. 🎭🌱

We are proud to share that Worship Earth Foundation honoured MMCC for its active participation and felicitated our students for their excellent street play presentation, appreciating their commitment toward environmental protection.

🌈📚 Kayantar – Stories That Transform Minds

The Journalism Department, MMCC, organized the Pre-Book Inauguration Program of “Kayantar” on 16th December 2025 at Dnyaneshwar Hall. The program introduced students to a powerful real-life narrative that reflects the journey, struggles, and triumphs of a transwoman, encouraging reflection, empathy, and inclusivity.
✍️ Author Ms. Rashmi Patwad Madankar shared insights into the creation of Kayantar, which is based on in-depth interviews with Ms. Anchal Verma, whose courageous life story deeply moved the audience.

🗣️ Ms. Anchal Verma herself addressed the students, sharing lived experiences and inspiring dignity, understanding, and acceptance.

🎓 Principal Dr. Kishor Nikam motivated students to embrace inclusivity and highlighted the role of education in building a more humane and compassionate society.

🎤 Mr. Santosh Shenai, Head of the Journalism Department, emphasized the importance of sensitization programs within academic spaces.
🙏 Special thanks to Dr. Gurmeet Kaur, Head – BBA, for collaboration with the MAJMC Department, and heartfelt appreciation to BBA students and faculty for their enthusiastic participation.
