Empowering Futures: 5-Day Orientation Program for SY & TY BBA/BBA-IB Students at MMCC

The Department of Business Administration at Marathwada Mitramandal's College of Commerce successfully conducted a Five-Day Orientation Program for SY & TY BBA/BBA-IB students from 3rd to 8th July 2025. The program aimed to enrich students through a series of workshops and expert-led sessions, equipping them with essential life, professional, and academic skills.
🔹 Day 1 – Workshop on Mental Health & Well-Being
Resource Person: Mrs. Dhanashree Ghare
Focus: Emotional Intelligence and Handling Failure – encouraging a growth mindset and resilience.
🔹 Day 2 – Principal’s Address & Faculty Interaction
Speaker: Dr. Ganesh Patare, Principal
Key Takeaway: Importance of personality development and SWOT analysis. Faculty also briefed students on curriculum changes under NEP 2020.
🔹 Day 3 – Awareness Workshop on the POSH Act
Resource Person: Adv. Shubhangi Deshmukh
Objective: Educating students about workplace safety, legal frameworks, and creating a respectful environment.
🔹 Day 4 – Gender Sensitization Workshop
Resource Person: Asst. Prof. Rutuja Purohit
Discussion: Challenging gender stereotypes, fostering equality, and understanding legal rights.
🔹 Day 5 – Guest Lecture on Lean Six Sigma in Supply Chain
Resource Person: Mr. Nitin Athavle
Insight: Introduction to Lean Six Sigma tools and SCM certifications for aspiring professionals.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Gurmeet Kaur Rajpal (HOD) and the tireless efforts of student volunteers ensured the program’s smooth execution.

Placement Readiness in Action!

 On 8th July 2025, a placement test was successfully conducted for Third Year BBA(CA) and B.Sc(CS) students, witnessing an enthusiastic participation of 129 students.

This initiative aimed to evaluate their preparedness for upcoming campus placements and highlight areas for improvement.

🎯 Mr. Nikhil Dhavase led a highly engaging post-test discussion, offering detailed explanations, strategies, and tips to help students perform better in future assessments.

🙏 A heartfelt thanks to Ms. Aditi Ganage for her valuable support that helped ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
