Diya Decoration and Greeting Card making competition

 The Department of Commerce had organized Diya Decoration and Greeting Card making competition on 10th October 2024. The objective for conducting The competition was to promote " Vocal for Local " initiative and to showcase The creativity and teamwork of the students. 

Students from various departments of the college activity participated in the activity. 

The beautifully decorated diyas by our students will be given to Maira Yuva Foundation a NGO run by Mr. Sanket Deshpande with the motto, " Ek panti tichya saathi" for the betterment and sustainable livelihood of the children taken care by the NGO. 

The activity was coordinated by- Dr. Shilpa Kabra, Asst. Prof. Yogita Renuse and Asst. Prof. Kashmira Jain. 

 

Birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri

 On Tuesday, October 1, we celebrated the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, which fall on October 2. The event began with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi's photograph by our Principal Dr. Devidas Golhar.

On this occasion, Prof. Sushil Gangane elaborated on the significance of the philosophies of both these great leaders. The Principal of the college, Dr. Devidas Golhar, reminded us of the powerful impact of Mahatma Gandhi's thoughts and teachings. He also highlighted the importance of Lal Bahadur Shastri's ideas, emphasizing the crucial role of farmers in India.

Special Gram Sabha

 On the occasion of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, we visited the village *Ambee* in Pansheth as part of the *Unnat Bharat Abhiyan*. During this visit, we attended a *Special Gram Sabha* organized by the grampanchayat. Ten students voluntarily participated in the event, contributing to discussions and activities aimed at community development.

Avishkar State Level Research Competition

 On 28-09-2024 we have conducted pre-presentations of our Young Research Scholars who are participating in the 19th Avishkar State Level Research Competition. A total of 13 teams from various departments participated in the pre-presentations. 

Avishkar Research Competition 2024:

On 30-09-2024 we have successfully conducted the college level *Avishkar Research Competition 2024*, with participation from *13 teams* representing various departments. The enthusiasm and dedication shown by all the young research scholars were truly inspiring as they presented their innovative research outcomes.

The event was graced by highly experienced judges:  

- *Dr. Ravindra Vaidya*, Principal, MES Senior College & Chairman BOS of Business Management and Computer Applications at SPPU  

- *Dr. Vikas Dole*, Associate Professor & Head of Research Centre, Neville Wadia Institute of Management

Their invaluable insights and expertise added immense value to the competition. 

This event was organized by *PGRC* with the valuable support of all *Avishkar team members*, *Heads of Departments*, and *PGRC members*, this event was successful only because of highly dedicated efforts by all team members.

The commitment and passion of our Young Research Scholars are a testament to the bright future of research in our institution. Looking forward to seeing more groundbreaking research in the future!

                         

Two-day workshop on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) at SPPU

  Prof. Gavit Dasharath successfully attended a two-day workshop on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) at SPPU, organized by the History Department. The workshop covered the syllabus, teaching methods, question paper patterns, and evaluation. For the first year, the syllabus includes a generic IKS course, while the second and third years focus on subject-specific IKS. Expert speakers provided valuable insights on various aspects of IKS.
