Rangoli and Mehndi Competition

On 13th January, Department of Business Administration organized Rangoli and Mehndi Competition on behalf of Cultural Department. The event aimed to celebrate the vibrant and traditional art form of Rangoli and Mehndi, bringing together participants to showcase their creativity and skills in designing colorful and intricate patterns.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation, where 98 groups participated for Rangoli and 125 teams (comprising of two students) participated in Mehndi Competition. Each participant brought a unique perspective to the event, contributing to the diversity and richness of the themes for both the events.

The theme for Rangoli competition was the festival of Makar Sankranti. The esteemed judges, Dr. Kalpana Vaidya and Asst. Prof. Smita Koppal had a challenging task of evaluating and finalizing the winners because of the humongous participation. Similarly, the judges for Mehndi competition, Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni and Asst. Prof. Gurmeet Kaur Rajpal were too in dilemma as to whom to choose amongst the massive number of participants. The theme for Mehndi Competition was The Festivals of India and students had expressed the art through cultural motifs, contemporary elements, portraits and facial expressions. The diversity of designs showcased the versatility of Mehndi and the participants' ability to put their best foot forward.
