Communal Harmony Day

 Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce is observing the Communal Harmony Day on Friday, 24 Nov. 2023 as per the guidelines received from the National Foundation for Communal Harmony, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. As part of this initiative, we need to make donation for the children who hv rendered destitute due to Communal violence in past by scanning the QR Code given on the above poster. You can donate any amount on volunteer basis. The posters are made available at notice boards of the Commerce Department and at the Department of BBA. Donate Generously for this noble cause.    



SWAR RANG 2023- SPPU YOUTH FESTIVAL

 We are am glad to announce that Team of 23 students was formed for SWAR RANG 2023- SPPU YOUTH FESTIVAL with participants and accompanist in various categories.

Avishkar Research Poster Competition

Department of Computer Science conducted Avishkar Research Poster Competition. The competition was judged by Dr. Swapna Kolhatkar and Prof. Shubhangi Mathe. Selected topics as follows:

1. UrgentAid : Designing and Developing Application for Emergency Ambulance Service
2. QR-Based Smart Attendance System for Educational Institutions
3. IOT Based Real -Time Gauge Monitoring Smart System


Swacchata Hi Seva

Place: District Court, Shivaji Nagar, Pune

Govt. of India launched Swacchata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign on 15 Sep. 2023 under 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'. As part of the initiative, the various awareness drives about sanitation and cleanliness are going to organize between 15 Sep. to 2 Oct. 2023 for expressing citizens commitments towards the cause.

Today, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Pune under NALSA & SLSA have conducted the cleanliness awareness campaign in the premises of District Court, Shivaji Nagar, Pune. On this occasion, NSS volunteers of *Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce* have participated in the event in response to the invitation received from *We Foundation*. The volunteers performed the street play highlighting the importance of cleanliness; they presented the song related to plastic waste management and took the pledges to maintain the locality clean; and they organized a walk to raise the awareness about issue.

The event took place in presence of Honourable Justice Mr. S. C. Chandak, Principal District & Session Judge, Pune, Adv. Sonal S Patil, Secretary, DLSA, and other Honourable Justices*. They applauded the volunteers for their excellent work.
 
Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade and Prof. Dr. Kalpana Vaidya  attended the event to guide and boost the confidence of volunteers. 



    






Police Mitra

Place: Shaniwarwada, Pune

The volunteers of Marathwada Mitra Mitra Mandal's NSS unit (A 026) participated as 'Police Mitra' to help Police for managing vehicle traffic. During inauguration of event, Ramanath Pokale sir, Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune commended students involvement by providing them Police volunteers 'hats' and 'whistles' . Our college students may continue to assist Police for remaining days of Ganesh Festival.

Place: Shaniwarwada, Pune

With reference to SPPU-NSS circular dated 18/09/23 & requirements received from Police station, NSS volunteers of Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce have been continuing their work as Police Mitra in successive 2nd day to control the vehicle traffic and crowd during peak hours from 5 PM to 8 PM at Gadgil Chauk, Shaniwarwada. Senior PI Sandipan Pawar sir and other police officials guided the volunteers during occasion & commended the students for their energy and involvement while managing crowd. Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade sir have dually inspected whole activity and ensured the volunteers security and safe returns to their homes. 50+ volunteers have taken part in the activity and will continue to do so in remaining days of Ganesh Festival.
