Voter Registration Drive

 The Electoral Literacy Club successfully organized a two-day voter registration drive on 16th and 17th August 2024, where 162 students registered for their new voter cards. 

On 15th August 2024, we also conducted a voter pledge ceremony, reaffirming our commitment to exercising our right to vote.

The blood donation camp held at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce was a resounding success, with 95 donors participating in the noble cause. The camp was organized by the MMCC NSS in collaboration with MMCOA, MMSCLC, and Jankalyan Raktapedhi. This blood donation camp was organized in memory of the death anniversary of the Honourable Late Shri. Vilasraoji Deshmukh Saheb, adding a special significance to the event.
The event commenced at 9:30 AM and continued until 2:30 PM, providing ample time for students, faculty, and other participants to contribute.

The Honourable Ex-President Principal Bhausaheb Jadhav Sir inaugurated the blood donation camp and paid tribute to Honourable Late Shri. Vilasraoji Deshmukh Saheb. The inauguration ceremony was a highlight, with Honourable Ex-President Principal Bhausaheb Jadhav Sir delivering an inspiring speech on the importance of blood donation. The presence of esteemed dignitaries, Principal Dr. Devidas Golhar, Principal Dr. Kranti Deshmukh, and Principal Dr. Aniruddha Joglekar, added to the event's significance. Their support and encouragement were greatly appreciated by the volunteers and participants.

The coordinators, Prof. Pankaj Ghorpade and Dashrath Gavit Sir ensured the smooth functioning of the camp, guiding the donors and managing the logistics efficiently. 

Overall, the blood donation camp was a testament to the spirit of community service and the willingness of individuals to contribute to a life-saving cause. The organizers extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and dignitaries who made this event a grand success. 







“AI in Education: Role of a Teacher" by IBS-ICFAI Business School

On 13th August 2024, IBS-ICFAI Business School had organised a faculty knowledge sharing program on the theme “AI in Education: Role of a Teacher.” Dr. Ganesh Patare, Asst. Prof. Meenal Kabra, Asst. Prof. Rekha Khatarmal, Asst. Prof. Omprakash Ajabe and Asst. Prof. Reshma Awati were among the faculties of MMCC who attended the FDP. 

The workshop proved to be a learning experience as it was quite informative and engaging. It surely explored how Al technologies can be integrated into educational practices to prepare students for industry demands. It also focused on the evolving role of teachers in an Al-enhanced environment, emphasizing how educators can utilize Al to provide personalized support, facilitate skill development, and create impactful learning experiences aligned with industry needs.



T - Shirt painting

On 13th August 2024, the Department of Commerce celebrated Independence Day week by organizing a T - Shirt painting competition on the theme Unity in Diversity. The activity motivated the students to showcase powerful messages through art. The entire event celebrated the creative spirit of our college community. The competition was judged was Prof. Asawari Daswadhkar from MMM School of Design.

 As Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Commerce is celebrating Anti Ragging week from 12 August- 18 th August2024.Today Anti Ragging film shown to maximum students . 



MoU between MMCC and REACHA

On 7-8-24, MMCC signed MoU between MMCC and REACHA (on behalf of IBM) for online training and offline workshop of AI for more than 1000 students. This will enhance employability skills of our students and enable them to enter the corporate world with confidence.

Eating Healthy and Balanced Diet

On 7 th August 2024 the Department of Commerce had organised a session on Eating Healthy and Balanced Diet by resource person  Nutritionist Mrs Avanti Damle. A very informative and interactive session in which madam  focused on:                

1.The importance of Vitamins for our body, from where we get it , 

2.She also advised on what food to eat , what you should avoid eating .

3.Importance of exercise 

4 Sleeping Habits

5.Intake of  Sugar 

The session was  concluded with an  interactive question answer   by staff and students.

 Prof. Swapnil Kamble attended FDP on Media Literacy organized by Manipal University Jaipur Rajasthan.



Counselors Training Course organized by the Indian Red Cross Society

Prof. Dasharath Gavit has successfully completed the Counselors Training Course organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, held at Ness Sadia College of Commerce, Pune, on Saturday, August 3, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Prabhakar Desai, Dean of Interdisciplinary Study at SPPU, Dr. Sadanand Bhosale, Director of NSS at SPPU, and Dr. Abhishek Kulkarni, Director of Student Development Programs at SPPU.

The training consisted of three key sessions: the first focused on school safety programs, the second emphasized the importance of first aid training and disaster management, and the third covered the roles and responsibilities of counselors along with a group discussion and timeline activity. Participants were engaged in comprehensive discussions and training on essential skills such as first aid, CPR, life-saving techniques, disaster management, carrying techniques, hygiene and sanitation, fire prevention and extinguishing, and evacuation procedures.
